Chloe is a beautiful and talented young girl with lots of dreams and aspirations. And every up and coming star needs some head shots! We had a great session filled with fun outfit changes, fake accents, and lots of laughs! :) I can’t wait to see what all is in store for this sweet girl. And one day I’ll be able to say “I knew her way back when..”. Thanks again to Chloe and her mom!

I have had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family several times, and I always have a great time with them. This time was extra fun though and by the end of the session we were all wet and covered in sand. A sure sign of a successful session! And poor little Julia may or may not have gone head first into the water not once, but two times. Don’t worry, she’s ok! I love how Fabiana was so willing to run around, get sandy, and just play and enjoy this time with her girls. As a result, we got so many authentic images documenting the special relationship she has with each of her daughters. My hope is that these photos will be treasured by her and her girls for many years and generations to come. Thanks again, Fabiana! See you in a few months!

I can’t say it enough…I love it when clients think out of the box a little! Family photos are about so much more than wearing white shirts and khaki pants and saying cheese. It is about your love and connection as a family. I can promise that being willing to sacrifice some shots of everyone looking at the camera with their best fake smile in favor of some shots where you are actually connecting with your family members will be TOTALLY worth it. I couldn’t have been happier when the Genant family arrived at our location (looking gorgeous, of course), and informed me that they had brought along a pitcher of lemonade and glasses, a ball for the kids to play with, and a book for them to read. Ummmm, yes please. Jen looked like she had stepped straight out of a 1950’s fashion advertisement and the rest of the family looked equally great! Pair that with a beautiful historic home set on a lake and a fun, easygoing family that are so in love with one another, and you have one of my absolute favorite sessions!

Genants, you are all as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside! Thank you so much for allowing me to document your sweet family!

I was honored to be able to photograph this event for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida, an organization that I love so much. RMHCCF is comprised of so many great people, both staff and volunteers who give so generously of their time. The weather could not have been more perfect on the day of the Golf Classic held at the beautiful course of the Hyatt Grand Cypress. Ronald McDonald himself was on the scene to thank everyone personally for helping out his houses and in turn, helping families in need receive immeasurable support, encouragement, and comfort from the Ronald McDonald House organization.

These 3 boys are as fun and full of personality as they are handsome. The boys were so sweet to each other and even took some nice pictures with their Mama and their MeeMaw. We got some pretty strange looks and comments from passers by when I put all 3 of them in the middle of the brick street, but hey, ya do what ya gotta do for good photography, right? And I think the end result was worth a few strange looks. By the way, I loved the way Mama dressed her boys for our session. The bold, vibrant colors photographed great and complemented each other perfectly. I am frequently asked how people should dress for photos, and one thing I always say is don’t (seriously, please please please don’t), dress in matchy matchy outfits (i.e., “It’s time for photos! Everyone go put on your white shirts and khakis!”), and don’t be afraid of color. I think this session shows how great the results can be when you’re not afraid of color and you go for a coordinating color palette rather than matching outfits.

I have been lucky enough to photograph this sweet family several times, and it is amazing how much this little boy has grown up in the time I’ve known them. These portraits were taken in honor of his 1st birthday. His mommy may or may not have made some pretty funny squawking bird noises to get some laughs out of her little man. :)

He has already grown and changed so much just since these photos were taken a few months ago. Our children grow up so fast….before you know it, they no longer look like a baby. Nuances change, personalities grow and develop, they start becoming more independent…all of this can happen in what seems like the blink of an eye. If you’re wondering when would be a good time to have a photo session of your child, the answer is right now. Don’t wait for a holiday or special occasion. Each age, stage, and phase a child goes through over the course of their childhood is so fleeting. The best reason to have your child’s photo made is so that you (and they) can remember the way they are right now, at this moment in their lives. This doesn’t necessarily mean scheduling a session with a professional photographer, although obviously I think that’s something that everyone should do as often as they are able to. Maybe it just means making a conscious effort to take more photos of your children….photos that reflect who they are right now, at this time in their lives. I can promise you, you will never regret having too many photos of your children.

This session was so special to me because the mommy-to-be (and her husband) happen to be great friends of mine and my husband’s. They were already fortunate enough to be foster parents to an awesome little boy, and since this session, have welcomed a precious baby girl into their family. And I have to brag on Jessica a little bit here…27 hours of labor; home birth; ALL NATURAL. The girl is a birthing rock star, people. I was, and am, SO proud of her. Her and her husband are amazing parents and wonderful friends. We love you, Kelso family!

Shelby is another local photographer and we decided to get together and swap family sessions so that WE could actually be in some photos for once! It was a beautiful day and I had a great time with her family. I hope she treasures these photos as much as I treasure the ones she captured for us! I feel so fortunate to have met Shelby and so thankful that she was willing to use her talents to provide my family with images we will always cherish. Thanks so much, Shelby!

I had such a great time doing Derek and Alli’s engagement portraits. We laughed, we got to know each other better, we joked, we were followed by multiple stray cats, we laughed some more…all in all, we had a blast! I am so pleased with the images from this session, but just as pleased that Derek and Alli have become friends of ours and that they are now happily enjoying married life. Love you, Mr. and Mrs. Roberts!
